Herringbone Technique

My friend Louise wowed me with a card she created using the Herringbone technique. I love using up my scraps of card stock/DSP so i was in love at first sight. I knew right away i was definitely going to case her card for one of my stamp club projects!! (This card is a direct case...thank you Louise)

I cut a piece of the Multipurpose adhesive sheet to 5" x 3-3/4"--THIS STUFF IS STICKY...At one point i had it sticking to my elbow...teheee : )

The strips are 1/2" thick. The longest strip being 6" is the pool party (across the middle). The DSP strips are 2" and 3" long and then small scraps to fill in the teeny spots that remain. Using the pool party strips as the focal point, fill in the DSP in a "V" shape format. Once your finished placing all your stripes down you will notice they hang over the edge of the multipurpose adhesive sheet. Just cut around all 4 sides with your scissors...then use a paper trimmer if you want to get an even cut all the way around (optional).

If you want you can add a pretty greeting banner at the bottom.... are you shocked i didn't add one.... ; )

Hope you like... : )
